Not really though. I was just browsing videos on YouTube and came across this one.
Northern California has all the mountain roads, but SoCal seems to have an awesome network of twisties in the form of canyon roads. I watched a couple videos from this uploader and oh gawd the roads, they look great (the guy himself can take a hike but he can drive, I'll give him that).

Of course it's some degree of unsafe, but at least they weren't straying out of their lane, losing traction, or passing cars

Bruh, you don't even know. There are guys in one of my Z groups who do "Suicide Runs" where they run a canyon with their lights off. At night. No one has died yet, but several have crashed.....
